9.00am  Session 1 Being The Leaders That Leave A Legacy (Plenary Session)

This session challenges student leaders to leave a legacy through their service to the school. Many leadership groups endeavour to leave a legacy by busily running events, making changes to the school, or fundraising lots of money. Whilst these are not necessarily wrong, they are rarely the sole solution to leaving a legacy. This presentation will outline the components of Alderfer's well-known ERG leadership theory in a student leadership context. It suggests that to 'build a bridge to leaving the legacy' students should focus on contributing to the school environment, relationships and growth opportunities.

10.30am Morning Tea Optional Session: School Captain Leadership (Current School Captains Only)

10.55am  Session 2  The Untold Principle of Leadership (Plenary Session)

Students often assume that the most important characteristic of a successful leader is being able to give a good talk or be popular with others. These characteristics are helpful but don't make the significant difference that will be made by the UNTOLD PRINCIPLE that this session reveals to students. By unpacking the untold principle in this session students will discover how to grow from being a leader with a badge, to being a leader that has a genuine impact.
